A SHARING…

Most of my work is healing, and growth.
Some of it is just about pleasure.
One of the principles of Conscious Sexuality is being able to offer pleasure experiences in a safe space. This often goes beyond the space and context that we put pleasure in.
In light of this I’d like to share something of myself with you.

Years ago I came across the work of Anthony De Mello, his writing had great impact on me and influenced me deeply.
One of, to me personally, the most important pieces he wrote was about selfishness. It caused me to look at many things in my life with a deep degree of honesty.
Amongst these were why I do what I do.
I looked at a lot of aspects of this.
One of the reasons was a love of women.
All women, all of you, are beautiful. Beautiful to touch, beautiful to pleasure.

You are beautiful.
I can tell you that. Your lover can tell you that. Your friends can tell you that. All the people in your world can tell you that.
And you know that they’re telling the truth.
But you don’t always believe them. In fact, it’s rare that you do.
There is such insecurity about our beauty.
And about our acknowledging it.
And, regardless of how often we’re told, it’s not something we accept.

But you can feel it.
You can feel beautiful.
When you’re touched with love.
When you’re acknowledged.
When your body is filled with pleasure.
When you relax, when you release, when you soften, when you open.
When you allow yourself.

It’s all about energy, about frequency, about vibration.
The energy of pleasure, of bliss, of ecstasy, shines and glimmers, it sparkles and glows.
It has colours so bright, so subtle, so magnificent we can only look at them in wonder.
It has sounds, sensations, smells, feelings, emotions, warmth, heat, fire to fill us. Fill us from deep within.
A wave of something magical that begins with a hand on your skin. A hand that becomes a path of communication, a voice without words.
A hand that is connected to a heart. A heart that is connected to something more.
And through this heart, through this hand, something flows into you.
Something beautiful.
And you feel beautiful.
You feel loved.

And part of my mission is to help you feel this.
To show you what pleasure you’re able to experience, what you can feel.
Every moment in this space is a blessing for me.
The ‘selfishness’ is that the space and the experience is as much for me as for you.
We all have certain gifts and talents, one of mine is the giving of pleasure.
I’ve learned about your body, the nerve and energy pathways, the pleasure centres, the secrets that unfold as your body reveals itself, going deeper, showing more, making its pleasure possibilities known, allowing your body to talk to me, to my hands, to guide my hands where to touch, how to touch, to take you to the places where the deepest parts of you are revealed, show themselves to be caressed, filled with ecstasy.
We’re not supposed to talk about or acknowledge the things we’re really good about it.
As I learned on my Vision Quest, do your work in the world, and do it well.

The Warrior Awakening

I’d like to share a moment from my week with you, a moment of beauty and power, a moment of realization, a moment of becoming. Many of the people who come and see us do so from the understanding that our sexual energy is a source of extreme power that can be used for healing and growth in every aspect of our lives.

This goes beyond purely sexual issues. Many of the people I’m working with at the moment are using this energy to clear the blockages and patterns of the past in order to make different life choices and to create lives of greater meaning, joy and fulfilment. Part of this journey for men and women is awakening the warrior within. Many of us have lost our connection to this energy, to what it means to live as a warrior, and how to manifest the power of this in our lives.

So I sat with a man on a journey. At the beginning of the journey we spoke about the importance of awakening this warrior within. Firstly, and most importantly for himself, and secondly for his relationship. He acknowledged that he had no real idea what this warrior is, who this warrior was. My reply was that it would awaken and unfold as we travelled on this journey of healing and growth. In a session this week he spoke about some of the things he had done differently, how, for the first time in so long, in fact so long that he couldn’t remember when he had done it before, he expressed himself, stating clearly what he wanted. This was in the context of giving himself a gift, and the extension, giving his partner support, in a way he’d never been ale to do before. I looked at him, I felt an amazing silence from the space, a silence that surrounds a moment of revelation, a silence that allows your soul to speak, and in this silence was the understanding that he had expressed an aspect of the warrior within. There were tears in his eyes at the acknowledgment of what he had done, and who he was becoming.

So, who is this warrior?

You step onto the path of healing and growth, the path that leaves the past behind, the path that fills you with the present, the path that leads to life fulfilment, you become a warrior of the heart, a warrior of spirit.

The warrior looks into the mirror.

The warrior looks deep into the mirror.

The warrior sees beyond the mists of illusion, and as hard as it is to look deeply into ourselves, the warriors gaze is firm, as the layers of who we’ve become fall away, more of who we truly are is revealed. In the acknowledgment of who we are, is the door of possibility to becoming the highest we are.

The warrior is in the rhythm of life, for the warrior knows when to stand firm, when to bend with the wind.

The warrior knows when there needs be silence, and when his words need ring out.

The warrior knows, yes the warrior knows, when the day for battle dawns, and when there is a day to yield.

The warrior knows that to go within, deep within, is to go into the heights of beyond, and the warrior knows that to be able to create a life, is balanced by the power to destroy.

The warrior is a state of being, a state of mind, a state of becoming, for this is the rhythm of life, the rhythm with which the warrior dances.

This is what the journey of conscious sexuality offers you

I am humbled and honoured to share this space with you.

As the understanding of Conscious Pleasure Energy expands more than ever, so we are able to share with you for the first time, the workshops in Cape Town this week, particularly the Sensual and Sacred Sexual Massage workshops on Saturday. Let us give ourselves permission.
Let us allow ourselves.

Let the fire burn in our bodies, in our hearts, in our minds.

Let us throw the masks and armour on the fire so that we may be revealed.
And through the eyes of revelation we will see the Gods we are.
And through the eyes of revelation we will see the Goddesses we are.
And through the eyes of revelation we will see the God in others.

And through the eyes of revelation we will see the shimmering of possibility that dwells in every moment.

And with the fire that burns we will dance in those moments.
And with the fire that burns we will dance with life.
And with the fire that burns we will dance the wild, the wild, the wild.
The passion, the scream, the sweat, the yell, the primal sound of our soul.
And with the dance of this sacred fire we will let slip the bounds of this world.
And the steps of this dance will take us beyond.
Beyond our bodies, beyond our hearts, beyond our minds.
We will dance to the place between where the mystery lives.
The place where truth dwells.
The place that calls us again and again.
The place we seek down many paths.
The place we seek within.
The place we seek lifetime after lifetime.
The place of spirit.

In this place we become free.
We become human.
In the image of, the manifestation of, the expression of, the being of, the living of, the dream of, the love of.

This place, the place between, this is the place of love.
The love that rips you apart, that tears into your heart, that breaks your body.
The love that we speak of in whispers in the silent longing of our heart.
The love that breaks us to be reborn to love to break to be reborn to love.
The love that is teacher and pupil, acolyte and guru.
The love that is flame and shadow.
The love that is poison and healer.
The love of the moment, the love of eternity.

Let us stand in the storm and allow the lightning to strike us, flow through us into the earth, join us to the ground.
Let us stand in the storm, in the rain and the wind and roar as warriors.
Let our voices ring out.
Let us sing our truths and shout our dreams to the wind.
Let us be heard, let us be seen, let us be known.

Let us be all.
Let us be beautiful.
Let us be human.
Let us be alive.
Let us be joyous.
Let us be inappropriate.

The Pleasure We Fear

Last year at Sexpo we did a mild 50 Shades bondage demo. The women who offered to be models for this came from a wide range of backgrounds, relationships and sexual experiences.

As part of the preparation for the experience I asked all of them what scared them most about it.

They all said the same thing.

They were scared they were going to enjoy it.

As part of the healing journey with men it’s important that I share some bodywork experiences with them.

This creates a deep discomfort for them, particularly when it comes to some of the pleasure-based experiences.

There is a fear they’re going to enjoy it.

Many people are terrified of many of the pleasure experiences.

We’re scared we’re going to enjoy them.

We’re scared of our passion.

We’re scared of our vitality.

We’re scared of our pleasure.

We’re scared of the fire that rages within us.

We’re scared of going beyond what we believe.

We’re scared of revealing ourselves.

We’re scared of seeing deep into ourselves, and into others.

We’re scared of pleasure.

We’re scared of where it may take us.

We’re scared of its power.

Because we know its linked to our soul.

For generations, hundreds of years, we’ve lived with repression.

We’ve been taught that that’s the way to live.

That our power is in pushing our desires down, suppressing, repressing, hiding, darkening, judging…

And the more we do this, the more we separate from our soul.

For our soul, the soul that links us to God, The Goddess, Source, Spirit…

This soul is a soul of celebration, of joy, of creation, of happiness, of laughter, of shimmering beauty and the expression of every aspect, the manifestation in our lives of this energy.

Our world is a testimony to the mediocrity and the repression that that represents.

We see it in our lives, our relationships, our wars, our poverty, our leaders, our entertainment, lack of creativity, our art…

But this soul, this soul, this scared energy that dwells somewhere within us, around us, this soul longs for expression.

And when we allow this soul out it can turn our lives, our world upside down.

Because it brings up the question ‘Where is our love, where is our joy?’

We come face to face with this in a very real way. Not as an ethereal, quasi-spiritual shoowah question.

But in this reality we wake up in every day, this reality we are creating, co-creating.

There are many possible expressions of this joy and celebration in our lives, many ways for the soul to shine through, to show itself in our lives, to bring its vibration into the world.

We’ve chosen the path of sensuality, of sexual energy, of Conscious Pleasure.

We have to go beyond our fears for this.

We have to go beyond our judgements for this.

We have to go beyond our limitations for this.

We have to go to a place where our soul is.

And our bodies, designed in the image of, a representation of, are a doorway to the soul.

Sensuousness, Sensual Energy is a language of the soul.

I invite you to stop fearing your soul.

I invite you to stop fearing who you are.

I invite you to stop fearing pleasure.

It’s important to know this.

There’s a purpose to this pleasure.

There’s a purpose to this soul stuff.

Every time we allow an experience beyond our limitations.

Every time we push a boundary that allows us to see more, be more, feel more than the narrow vision we generally hold, every time we do this, we put something out into the world.

We put a possibility out.

We put an invitation out.

We put an actual energy out.

We change a frequency.

This makes it possible for somebody else to experience this.

Maybe not what exactly the experience we had.

But something that is pleasurable.

And pleasure has greater transformational power than anything other force.

And even if you have no belief or interest in the transformational power and possibility, just for a moment have a belief in your own soul.

And its desire to talk to you, to live in you, to live through you.

And allow yourself to live with less fear, more pleasure, more happiness, more joy, more love, more celebration…

One of the most gratifying things for me, and something I appreciate enormously, is hearing how many people enjoy these newsletters.

The Vision Quest I did earlier this year initiated a time of personal healing for me, as well as a deeper understanding and learning. This has allowed the healing work, and workshops to go to new places of power. It is so beautiful to share this with you and see how we can change the things we’d like.

Sharing with is always special for me. Sexuality is the part of life that is generally scariest and most closed for men. I was invited to give a talk to a group of men this week, which began in the way most of the men’s gathering do. Almost everybody sitting with arms folded, legs crossed, stern-faced and silent.

Almost everybody thawed and we had a really good time.

More and more men, alone or with their partners, are coming to learn, heal and grow. These are the real men, the strong ones.

I am honoured to share with you.

So many people contact us about exploring aspects of their sexuality, fantasies, expanding what they do, having more excitement in their relationships and lives.

Having a framework for this, a way to open the communication and discussion, as well as some how-to knowledge can change these experiences from being scary and negative to expansion and a deepening of your relationship.

And then they are no more as the wave of pleasure engulfs us, wraps us in sensation, in emotion, in a moment of being that lasts an eternity, takes us into the swirling space where the Divine dances

Slowly we return

Slowly we feel our breath

Slowly we feel the weight of being

Lighter now

For every visit to that Sacred Temple of Pleasure leaves its shimmering within us

For this is sacred ground

In the world of Conscious Sexuality we regard certain touch and massage experiences as being acts of worship. We use the words massage and touch simply because we have no others, but these experiences go way beyond the general understanding and experience of massage.  Going beyond even that I’d like to offer a different perspective and possibility with Conscious Sensual Touch, Conscious Pleasure Energy, Conscious Sexual Touch etc.

We’ll use the word massage because it’s the closest we have.  Generally we see the roles of giver and receiver being quite set in this space. And generally there is way more pleasure for the person receiving the massage.  Let’s change something here. There is a way of touching that is worshipping. So the question is who is worshipping? If I’m the person giving the massage, then it’s me.

And I can use that space, that touch as a way for it become a sacred experience, a spiritual experience, a meditation for me.

Of course there’s enormous benefit in this for the person receiving the massage.

And there’s so much for me.

When I enter the space in this way, with the intention of connecting with something higher, something beyond me, of allowing it to be transcendent for me, a shift happens.  A deep shift in awareness.  An opening of a space within me, an acknowledgement of the energy coming through me. Where is this coming from? Source, Spirit, The Universe, God, The Goddess…  I come to you to pray. For that is the manifestation of the energy, the coming into being of the intention. You, your body, your being becomes the altar, the recipient of my prayer. I open myself, elevate myself, connect myself. And in so doing, I am able to offer you more. And the more I can be open, the more I can be vulnerable, the more I have to offer you. My body, my hands become a vessel for this holy energy. And as it flows through me, it touches me, heals me, calms me, relaxes me, arouses me. As it flows through me to you. This becomes a temple that we create, a space that we weave filled with love, with giving, receiving, sharing…  This brings up a beautifully different perspective on healing as well. We generally heal to receive more. Here, we heal to give more. Releasing my pain, my blockages, my resistances, my withholds for the purpose of allowing more to flow through me. And going beyond that to the knowing that the purpose of more flowing through me allows me to give more. Which allows you to receive more. And going beyond even that. It allows me, in that space, to go deeper into myself. To make my prayer, my meditation, my giving more.  And in the giving is the receiving. Not in the way we mostly see that, that it’s good to give. But there’s a sacred intention. And I have to be open to receive before I can give, truly give. Anybody can do massage, anybody can do healing. This is becoming, becoming massage, becoming touch, becoming healing, becoming conscious, becoming awake, becoming aware, becoming connected, becoming love.  And the in the giving is the receiving.    There are so many exciting things coming up. The free talks have been wonderful, we’re really looking forward to the next one. The evening at Pharaohs on Exploring Sexuality was a great success, we’re doing it again. There’s a good Sensual Massage Special Offer, and we’re coming to Cape Town. I’ve recently started using some specially shaped supports during some of the Pleasure Massage Experiences.
