It confirmed how important Real, Open, Positive, Non-Judgemental Learning about sex is.

There are 3 basic aspects to this.

The first is simply information.

Without embarrassment, without shame, without judgement, without myth and misinformation and misunderstanding.

Open, honest information.

About your body, about his body, about her body.

What everything is, where it is, how to find it, what to with it when you find it, how does it work. The basic stuff that nobody teaches us.

And then the possibilities.

Oh my word, the possibilities!

The techniques, because so much of sexual learning is about technique.

Then personalizing it, but the techniques first. How to.

When we know how to, how to communicate, how to find out what we like, what each other likes, how to explore, how to bring up the topics, the desires, the needs and wants we have, how to express them, how to make it ok for us to be who we are sexually…

When we know how, when we have an idea of how to go where, a framework, a direction, a recipe, a step-by-step guide, we can get there, or at least begin the journey, open the discussion.

Then we have two vital things, safety and confidence.

Self-confidence, because we know.

And safety, because we know how to create what we’d like.

Even exploring on our own.

Now this is important, because so many people think the sexual and sensual journey is for those in relationship.

It’s not.

It’s for everyone.

Sometimes exploring, healing, learning and growing on your own makes even more sense. It gives you a sense of yourself as sexual being in your own right, responsible for your happiness and pleasure.

Then when you choose to be in a relationship, it can be very different to whatever you’ve done before.

The second aspect is exploring. On your own or with a partner.

Deepening and enhancing what it is, what you know, what you do.

Without some understanding, without some tools and guidance we can’t do this in a way that gives the results we’re looking for.

So many of the experiences, whatever they may involve, on your own, with your own body, a partner, an extra person, 10 more people, an emotional journey, a spiritual experience, ropes and blindfolds, we need guidance.

And most of what we know doesn’t fit where we’d like to go.

The understanding and information we have is simply not enough.

So why should the experience be any different?

Why should something else happen?

The 3^rd aspect of this is linked to both, healing.

It comes out of everything, is part of everything, healing comes from exploring, exploring gives rise to healing.

It’s all entwined.

And the meaning of Tantra, one of the definitions of the word itself, is ‘Weaving the Web’, the web of life, all aspects of life, all connected.

Every part of us is connected to every other part, to the world, to life.

Healing is growing in consciousness, awareness, knowledge, information, understanding and connection.

And it all leads to greater pleasure, greater love, greater intimacy, greater freedom.

And as I finish writing this I receive an email from Super Sensual Saturday which shows something amazing.

The people who are experiencing this are no different from you and I. They’re ‘just people’.

That’s not quite true.

They are different, because they took a step, they were nervous, she was really scared.

But they took a step, Tantric Warriors.

And look what happened!

It is amazing how life can change in a moment.

Something happens, we see something, smell something, hear something, think something, feel something, and it’s different.

Sometimes the difference is just for the moment.

Sometimes it’s more, lasts longer.

But the moments have the power to change.

That’s what consciousness is, living in the moment, being aware, involved, present, being willing to experience whatever there is.

I sat down this morning to write something about fear.

There is so much at the moment on so many levels in so many lives.

I started out talking about the petrol price, Japan, Libya, electricity, the rise of teenage pregnancy, relationships that are in crisis, the women I’ve spoken to and had email conversations with this week about how unfulfilled they are, the men who want to explore with their partner’s, the fear so many people are feeling at the moment, the insecurities, the lack of pleasure…

And then…

And then I received an email with a few images from a Sensual Massage photo shoot I did yesterday that caused me to hold my breath for a moment, brought a tear to my eye, literally with the beauty of the images.

And then I read the emails from women after reading the Sensual Massage Journey, the resonance of the energy of pleasure, their simple recognition of it, their desire, deep, deep desire to experience this and what it brought to awareness of how they’ve looked at pleasure.

And then I thought about the audio book I recorded on Monday, the words of love and beauty, the freedom and pleasure that brought a moment of hushed awe in the studio after reading some of the pieces.

And then I looked at some of the emails after the show on Kaya FM last night, the feedback on the learning, the understanding, the pleasure people were talking about and experiencing, the gratitude for the open information.

And then my friend Cath from Cape Town sends me a message that says ‘I hope the universe sucks you further into this great conspiracy of love.’

And I deleted what I’d written.

This is what I’d like to tell you.

There are two emotions in the world, Love and Fear.

Everything else comes from these, everything else is a shade or expression of one of these.

There is so much in the world that we cannot control.

There are many forces in the world that leave us broken in so many ways.

There is so much insecurity, anxiety, harshness and destruction in the world at the moment.

And there is so much love.

There are so many possibilities for beauty, for sharing, for intimacy, for connection.

And for pleasure.

Physical Touch, Sensual Touch, Conscious Touch, Tantric Touch, Loving Touch is a manifestation of love that is real, it’s there we can feel it, experience it.

When it comes from the heart, the centre of love, it gives us love.

It’s healing, it’s soothing, it’s calming, it’s connecting, it’s centering, it’s peaceful, it’s warm, it’s welcoming, its’ freeing, it’s safe.

It touches us, physically, yes, and deeper.

It touches our hearts, our souls. It moves our energy changes the way we feel.

It allows us to be restored, revitalized, renewed.

It changes our perception as it changes our energy.

When it comes from the heart it allows us to feel loved.

And the more feel loved, the more we can love.

The more we can love the more we can cope.

The more we can change the things we can.

The more we can see what’s real, what’s illusion.

The more we can see what’s really important.

The more we live in, with, giving, receiving, love, the more we live from the heart, the more conscious we are.

The more see what’s beautiful.

The more creative we become.

The more we see how much in the world we can change.

Lofty, high, spiritual concepts and words.

Yes, but also real, VERY REAL, very human, maybe the most human thing about us.

Touching, being touched, makes it real.

And it’s there for all of us.

In a Conscious Space.

One human being with another.

Sensual doesn’t mean sexual.

Sensual means heart reaching out through hands to share a moment of peace, of beauty, of healing, of release.

It requires us to shift some beliefs, put some inhibitions aside, to allow ourselves to be touched in this way, in this space.

But we’ll feel more loved.

It’s that simple.

But what that will do, My God/Goddess, what that will do.

If so many of our leaders experienced this our world will be SO different.

We’ll be willing to find different solutions to the issues and problems we have, solutions that support all of us, that have possibilities, that open doors, that expand our world.

Everything that comes from fear contracts us, closes us down, narrows the possibilities.

Again, lofty, high, spiritual concepts and words.

Again, real, VERY REAL, very human, maybe the most human thing about us.

The more I think about this, the more I see how much it’s about us, us as a group, a society, a nation…

But more than that, us as individuals.

This is our, OUR, singular, YOUR, MINE, life, world.

It’s our responsibility, our consciousness.

It’s simple.

Touch, allow yourself to be touched.

Let’s create, we have already, so let’s have more, places, spaces where we can share this.

One of the most amazing new learnings coming from the Sensual Massage workshops is how healing learning to touch in this way is and the impact it has on so many other areas of life.

I can hardly sit still with the amount of energy zinging around my body as I think about the possibilities of this, I can hardly get the words out fast enough.

And I see that this is the truth of Tantra.

Which is really Conscious Love, expressed in many ways.

There’s a way for you.

This is a truth that can change so many things.

For today, maybe just us, you and I.

Tomorrow…
